This is a story of a abandoned pub named “Peterbilt”, a name was given by his rescuer. Donna Lochmann, a chef at Stray Rescue of St. Louis responded to the call from a neighbor who spotted a black-and-white dog walking near a highway entrance ramp.
Once Donna arrived, at first she wasn’t sure how the pub would react to her presence, and also she really didn’t want the pub to ran away from her. She saw the pub was in dangerous situation because he was wandering so close to a main highway. The pup cold and afraid, huddled against a chain-link fence with cars speeding by him. Donna told the media that “If he would’ve gotten spooked and ran, he would’ve ended up right on the highway, and we never want these guys on the highway, for sure.”
